LATEST NEWS: (3/2/2009) BIRTHMARK will be screening at the San Luis Obispo International Film Festival on Tuesday, March 10th at 6pm. SLOIFF, in addition to being the hometown festival of the lead actor in BIRTHMARK (Matthew J. Evans), offers filmmakers and film fans alike an intimate, small town setting surrounded by scenic beaches, vineyards and the beautiful ranchland of the California Central Coast. The festival features a diverse spectrum of landmark classics and contemporary features as well as short, documentary and foreign films from independent filmmakers and studios. In recent years SLOIFF has developed a reputation for showcasing the talents of new emerging independent filmmakers who are shaping the future of the motion picture industry. (9/7/2008) BIRTHMARK has been selected to screen at Chicago International Children’s Film Festival as well as the Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival in Birmingham, Alabama. The Chicago International Children’s Film Festival (CICFF) is the largest festival of films for children in North America features over 200 films from 40 countries and screens a wide range of projects from live action and animated features, to shorts, TV series, documentaries, and child-produced works. One of the most unique festivals in the country, showcasing the best in culturally diverse, non-violent, value affirming new cinema for children, the CICFF is the only children’s film festival to be an Academy Award Qualifying Festival. BIRTHMARK will be screening at CICFF on Monday, October 27 at 9:45am at Facets Cinema. Since its debut in 1999, filmmakers from across the country and around the world have come to Birmingham to screen their work at Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival and have been thrilled to discover fresh, enthusiastic crowds eager to devour new independent cinema. (8/1/2008) BIRTHMARK will be screening at VisionFest 08 at the DGA Theater in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening, August 20, 2008. This is the 11th year for this screening and celebration.
